About Us

We’re Calusa, a family-owned apparel company based in Berkshire, England. Our mission is to make sun-protective clothing that’s powered by nature and built for wherever the day takes you.

Why Calusa? Well, the name was inspired by Calusa Beach in the Florida Keys, where we got engaged (and which itself was named after the indigenous people who once called it home).

But we're a proudly British company, designing everything right here in our studio in Berkshire. Inspired by the outdoors, adventure and good times, we keep our colour palette calm, our branding subtle, and our materials natural. We’re not here to shout. Just to help you feel good, look good and tread a little lighter.

Our first collection is a range of long-sleeve T-shirts, made with ultra-soft bamboo, a naturally breathable, antimicrobial, and UV-resistant fabric that feels as good as it looks. It’s the kind of gear you’ll want to wear from morning hike to sunset beer, with a clean, classic style that goes anywhere.

We’re just getting started though, with more products to come in the very near future.
